Have the abliity to record system audio without it being audible through the speakers.

Some video capture programs (e.g. SnagIt) can record the system audio, but I can mute my speakers while the recording is happening and the audio is still recorded. It seems they're capturing the system audio at whatever volume it's being produced, while FocuSee is capturing it at whatever volume it's being output to my final speakers. The first behavior is preferable, especially if I'm capturing something like a TV show to watch later when I don't have connectivity, and don't want the audio interrupting my work.
