Change the darkening of areas that are not recorded

I often record on a large, high-resolution screen. I place the recording area on the right, and on the left I place the files I need and a notebook in which I write the entire plan. Also, I place windows of other programs, which, when the moment comes, I simply transfer to the recording area. So during recording, all the files and stuff are in front of my eyes for convenience + everything is recorded and it turns out much better, since everything is at hand and at the same time unnecessary information does not fall into the recorded area. During recording, the unscripted area is heavily darkened, which makes it difficult to read my notes and work with the area that is off the record. It would be nice if this shadowing could be changed or removed altogether, some kind of orange frame would be enough for me to orient myself, maybe flashing during recording. It would be nice if there was an alternative to heavily darkening areas that are not being recorded. I would be very grateful if such functionality appeared.

💡 Feature Request

The app is highly unstable and riddled with critical bugs that make it unreliable for any serious use.

Issues Observed: Countdown Timer Inaccuracy: The countdown visually displays "3 seconds," but in reality takes about 10 seconds. After the countdown finishes, the recording does not start immediately—it takes an additional 3–4 seconds delay. Sometimes, the timer itself starts from 3 seconds, skipping initial seconds without warning. A/V Sync Issues: Mouse movements, audio, and on-screen interactions (e.g., dropdowns) are completely out of sync. Example: Clicking to open a dropdown in Notion is recorded in sync with the voice, but the menu appears much later in the recording. These are not app-generated effects; these are actual UI interactions captured out of sync. Export and Data Loss: After spending hours editing, hitting export causes the entire project to disappear—no confirmation, no fallback, no error message. Backup files, if present, are incomplete: Edits are missing. Voice and video are stored separately and out of sync. The only way to attempt recovery is by contacting support manually via email, with no guaranteed resolution. Impact: This set of bugs leads to complete loss of user work, wasted time, and a total breakdown of trust in the app’s core functionality. Recommendation: Until these issues are addressed and fixed, the app should not be promoted as a reliable tool for content creators or professionals. Users' time and effort are at serious risk.

New User – Audio Sync & Export Crash Issues

Hi, I’m new here and just bought this software, first time using it, but I’ve run into several problems. Initial Test & Audio Sync Issue: i recorded a tutorial to test the software, and it seemed to work fine at first. When reviewing the result and making edits (e.g., adjusting zooms), my voice sounds faster than the video, as if there’s lag in the recording. Tried exporting to check if the issue was with the editor or the recording itself. Repeated Export Crashes: Attempted exporting 6 times with different settings: 4K 60fps 2K 60fps 2K 30fps 1080p 60fps 1080p 30fps Each time, the software crashes at 53% and closes completely. System Specs & Environment: Using a gaming laptop (good GPU/RAM). No background programs running. Questions: Could I be doing something wrong? How can I report these crashes? Thanks for your help!
