REPEAT last used settings for recording - command_option-R

Being able to REPEAT the last settings used so you can re-do various takes, or record a script in chunks, or record software demos without having to keep re-selecting the window of the same app over and over. Something as simple as cmd-R or cmd-option-R would be awesome.

Digital Zoom / Crop for Webcam Camera

When using an external camera such as DJI Osmo Action in Webcam Mode, the field of view is too wide. I would like to digitally zoom or crop the camera source itself, for example 1.2x, 1.5x, or 2x. Currently, Camera Size only changes the size of the camera frame, not the actual image inside the camera frame. It would be great to have a “Camera Crop / Zoom” control.

Keyframes for Animation

Especially for 3D animations on screen recordings, it would be nice to have keyframe ability to specifically control the animations more granularly. Primarily on the “zoom” portion, having the ability to set keyframes that capture various configurations, then transition or animate between the differences in the keyframes, would be really useful.

Pause, Go Back and Re-record During Recording

It would be very useful to have a feature similar to ScreenPal where, while recording, we can pause the recording, go back to a specific point, and resume recording from there. For example, if I make a mistake during a tutorial: Record → Mistake → Pause → Go Back 10 seconds → Re-record → Continue The incorrect portion would automatically be replaced/removed. This would be extremely helpful for tutorial and course creators because mistakes could be corrected during recording itself, significantly reducing post-recording editing time. this is the core feature of Screenpal looking for such a feature

Insert Image

Under Annotation or separate layer can be introduced to insert Image files in the video clip while editing.

Transition effects

Transition effects between two segments of video may be introduced. Apart from standard Fade / slide in - out , new types of transitions should be introduced.

Window Control on Start

When I start a video (say in custom size mode) - I want to be able to move and control the apps on my screen. As it is now the video overlay blocks all interaction until I start recording.

Press to talk

Add the option to select a key to press and unmute ur mic, so u are not recording every sound or something u maybe dont want to hear on the video, its better add that function to press to talk.

Mute part of the clips

It would be a nice to have feature and very productive feature. When you split clip into smaller clips, you can’t mute one those clips. The entire video gets muted.

Fix words in audio

If I use the AI to enhance my speech, it would be nice to go in and fix words that were said incorrectly and have the AI fix them in the audio rather than having to rerecord it or use a separate program to rerecord the audio.

Audio/Video Desync on Long Recordings (v2.3.3)

I am running the up-to-date version of Focusee (v2.3.3) on macOS Tahoe Version 26.5.1 and am experiencing a highly frustrating issue since I got new update from FocuSee where the video track runs noticeably faster than the audio during full-session recordings. By the end of a session, the video and audio are completely out of sync, making the final export entirely unusable because the visual actions on screen happen significantly ahead of what is being heard. I have already tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but the issue persists. Please investigate this , as it makes it impossible to rely on the software for recording sessions.

Cursor Attached Presenter Labels

It would be great to have the ability to attach a customizable text card to the cursor. This could be used to display information such as the presenter name, role, company, or any custom text. The label would follow the cursor and inherit cursor effects. A good reference is the style often used in Canva marketing videos. This would save a significant amount of editing time. Currently, I often need to record videos, export them, and then manually add presenter names and motion graphics in another video editor. Having this built directly into Focusee would streamline the workflow and eliminate a lot of repetitive post production work while producing more professional looking videos.
