In other words, the app should always be running, but without the need to keep the application icon in the Dock at all times. Only when it is needed (video editing).

The modal window, in order to choose what exactly should be captured, can be opened by a hotkey or by clicking on the icon in the menu bar above.
It this case, it is not necessary to always have the icon in the Dock. Icon in the Dock is
necessary only during the editing of the video.
