Menubar refinements & Quick Capture options for Mac

Mac needs a method to launch recordings directly from the menu bar for the 3 types or presets instead of launching the window & then selecting 1 of the 3.

Also need to have the menu bar shortcut exist without needing to have the application open and running while sitting in the doc, etc.

btw - On intel mac I get flashing menu bar icons when it is first opened, activated or mode changes. Pehaps only me, but mic icon & focusee icon start flashing for a few when I open it.
