More recordings to add on timeline
do not understand why this should not be possible. If you misspeak you have to start new projects over and over again?

A capture tool like yours, which seems very interesting and has great features, doesn’t hold up, in my opinion, without the ability to edit and add multiple external videos. With this functionality, the possibilities are endless.
It allows me, on one hand, to fix mistakes, but also to bring in videos I’ve created elsewhere to truly craft tutorials and presentations. Right now, without the ability to add additional videos, I feel so restricted.
Honestly, I strongly recommend implementing this—it will completely transform the potential of your tool.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently discussing a solution for this suggestion and considering adding it to our near-term plans. Could you please tell us when or under what circumstances you would use this feature?

a project can involve multiple recordings? I am recording myself for 10 minutes, if I make one single speaking error, I have to delete everything and start all over again. Recording smaller good pieces and connect them to each other would be super handy. For that reason I still need to use Camtasia..

In my workflow, I often finish a recording and later realise I need to continue or add another part. Right now, the only way to do this is by recording a new video and then merging clips in an external editor, which is time-consuming.
It would be great to have a “Continue Recording” or “Add Clip” option that lets me start a new segment and automatically append it to the same project/timeline inside FocuSee.
This would make it much easier to record tutorials, multi-part demos or explanations without having to re-edit everything afterward.
Thanks for considering this — I’d be happy to test it if you release a beta version!

Yes, I’d be happy to join the email interview and share more details about my workflow.
I could also sketch a quick mockup to illustrate how I imagine the “Continue Recording” flow.
Could you please let me know the best way to share my contact information privately?

I've seen in several places that this feature is on the roadmap, even mentioned in this conversation seven months ago. Is there any ETA for its release? As a video creator, this is essential. As others have noted, when you make a mistake during recording, you have to retake and export both recordings to edit them with an external editor, which is super inefficient.

Any progress on this? It’s table stakes for me. I’m not sure I’ll invest in it if I can’t. Would be a fantastic addition and solve a lot of issues for users of most modern video editing tools. Thanks in advance for considering it!

I’ve been using FocuSee for over a year, and there’s one major workflow issue that keeps coming up.
Because FocuSee can’t add multiple recordings/clips into a single timeline and merge them, I’m forced to use a separate video editor every time just to stitch clips together. This adds unnecessary steps, slows me down significantly, and honestly makes the overall experience feel far less usable than it could be.
I also update my videos frequently, so I often need to replace or insert a small section. However, in FocuSee I can’t insert a new clip into an existing project, reorder clips, or swap only a specific part. As a result, even minor updates often require me to re-record the entire video, which is extremely time-consuming and frustrating.
What I strongly request is:
The ability to add multiple recordings (or imported video files) to the same timeline
Insert / reorder / replace clips on the timeline
Ideally, the option to add new recordings to an existing project later
If this is implemented, FocuSee would become a truly complete “record + edit + export” solution, and I would confidently recommend it to many more people. Please prioritize adding this functionality.

It would be great if not only can we add multiple recordings, but also
be able to add multiple audio files or even just a background music track.
And maybe don't know how difficult it would be, but you could potentially show two screens at once with your 3D animation. You can move one of the videos to the left or to whatever position, plus adjust the tilting, etc. You can also allow a second video to be on the other part of that screen.

Thank you for your suggestion. We will gradually improve support for multiple screens and multiple audio sources.

Rearranging video splits
Please add functionality to rearrange the video splits, I have to export the file and then edit the video in iMovies just for this
Having this functionality would make it super simple to record tutorial videos and edit directly in Focusee

I think this would just be good if there were just a clip throughout the entire video that you wanted to take from whenever you got it and move it for instance to the first part of the overall video.
As well as letting us just import more than one video to splice together.

We need this feature sooner than later, I absolutely love the program but would argue this may be holding yout sucess back a bit, it should be standard in a video editor to be able to add recordings videos usually take more than one shot. Hoping this will make it in soon!
